  • Timely Reporting to the House of Assembly

    Periodic debt reports are submitted to the Adamawa State House of Assembly within the timeframe prescribed by law.

  • Debt Recording and Monitoring

    We maintain accurate and up-to-date records of the State's external and domestic debt obligations.

  • Debt Sustainability Analysis

    We assess the State's debt portfolio against its repayment capacity to determine sustainable borrowing thresholds.

  • Compliance Assessment

    We assess compliance with borrowing laws, guidelines and approved debt limits across Ministries, Departments and Agencies.

  • Debt Restructuring and Refinancing

    We provide guidance on debt restructuring and refinancing options where appropriate to reduce the cost of borrowing.

  • Risk and Currency Exposure Management

    We set guidelines for managing financial risk and currency exposure across the State's debt portfolio.

  1. Quarterly Debt Report

    We prepare and submit quarterly domestic debt reports to the Federal Debt Management Office and the State House of Assembly.

    We prepare and periodically review the State's Debt Management Strategy in line with national guidelines.

  3. Support to the House of Assembly

    We assist the House of Assembly in reviewing the State's debt profile and borrowing plans.

    The Agency was formally established as a legal entity by the Adamawa State House of Assembly in 2011.

    Adamawa State legislation further governs the operations, powers and reporting obligations of the Agency.

    We issue guidance to Ministries, Departments and Agencies on borrowing procedures, record-keeping and reporting standards.
