Debt Portfolio Management
The Agency prepares and implements strategies for the efficient management of Adamawa State's debt portfolio at levels compatible with sustainable economic growth. -
Borrowing Advisory
We advise the State Government on the terms and conditions of proposed loans, bonds and other financial obligations. -
Timely Reporting to the House of Assembly
Periodic debt reports are submitted to the Adamawa State House of Assembly within the timeframe prescribed by law.

We maintain accurate and up-to-date records of the State's external and domestic debt obligations. -
Debt Sustainability Analysis
We assess the State's debt portfolio against its repayment capacity to determine sustainable borrowing thresholds.

We assess compliance with borrowing laws, guidelines and approved debt limits across Ministries, Departments and Agencies. -

We set guidelines for managing financial risk and currency exposure across the State's debt portfolio.

Quarterly Debt Report
We prepare and submit quarterly domestic debt reports to the Federal Debt Management Office and the State House of Assembly. -
Debt Management Strategy
We prepare and periodically review the State's Debt Management Strategy in line with national guidelines. -
Support to the House of Assembly
We assist the House of Assembly in reviewing the State's debt profile and borrowing plans.

Legal Basis
The Agency was formally established as a legal entity by the Adamawa State House of Assembly in 2011. -
Debt Management Law
Adamawa State legislation further governs the operations, powers and reporting obligations of the Agency. -

We issue guidance to Ministries, Departments and Agencies on borrowing procedures, record-keeping and reporting standards.
